What it is
{"overview":"The Argus C4 is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced in the United States by Argus. As of 2026, this remains a low-value camera at auction, and what a clean C4 sells for today is heavily dependent on cosmetic condition and whether the shutter and rangefinder are still functional.","buying_guide":"Inspect the rangefinder for a clear, aligned patch, check that the cloth shutter fires at all marked speeds without sticking, and look for haze, fungus or separation in the fixed lens.

Questions
Is the Argus C4 a good user camera?
It can be, provided the shutter and rangefinder are functioning, but given the low market value and lack of service support, most buyers treat it as a display piece or occasional shooter.
