Gandolfi Stereo Tropical

{"overview":"The Gandolfi Stereo Tropical is a wooden-bodied stereo plate camera from the British maker Gandolfi, configured for paired exposures on a single plate. Because this is a wholesale saleroom result rather than a dealer asking price, retail values for a comparable example would typically sit higher, and condition of the woodwork, bellows and brasswork drives where any individual camera sells for within or above that benchmark.","buying_guide":"Inspect the bellows for pinholes and the wooden body for shrinkage cracks, loose joints or insect damage, since tropical hardwoods can still split with age. Check that both lens cells and shutters are present and matched, that the ground glass is intact, and that the stereo separation and rising-front movements function without binding.
