What it is
{"overview":"The Praktisix is a 6×6 medium-format SLR produced by Kamera Werkstätten in East Germany, introduced in the late 1950s. With only one data point in 2026, what a Praktisix is worth today varies widely with cosmetic condition, shutter accuracy and whether a working lens is included, so treat this figure as indicative rather than a firm market value.","buying_guide":"Inspect the cloth focal-plane shutter for pinholes, capping at higher speeds and accurate slow-speed timing, as these are the most common faults on cameras of this age. Check the mirror foam, film advance, and the bayonet lens mount for wear, and confirm the waist-level finder screen is clean.

Questions
Is the Praktisix the same as the Pentacon Six?
The Praktisix is the earlier Kamera Werkstätten 6×6 SLR; it preceded the Pentacon Six line, and collectors generally treat them as related but distinct models when assessing price.
