What it is
{"overview":"The Kolar Box Kolex is a box-format camera made by Kolar. Because saleroom appearances are so rare, what a Box Kolex is worth today depends heavily on who is bidding on the day, and a clean example could sell for materially more or less than that figure.","buying_guide":"With box cameras of this vintage, inspect the shutter for sluggish or stuck operation, check the viewfinder windows for haze, and look over the body covering and metalwork for corrosion or denting.

Questions
Is the Kolar Box Kolex a common camera?
Auction appearances are rare, which is why there is so little public price history to anchor a market value.
