Manhattan Optical Wizard Cycle B SR

{"overview":"The Manhattan Optical Wizard Cycle B SR is a vintage American-made plate camera from the Manhattan Optical Company, a US manufacturer active around the turn of the 20th century. These are wholesale hammer figures rather than retail, and condition of the bellows, wood and any original plate holders is the main driver of what an example is worth; complete, presentable pieces sell for the upper end of that range while tatty bodies tend to trade lower.","buying_guide":"On cameras of this age the most common problems are pinholes and splits in the leather bellows, shrinkage or cracking of the wooden body, tarnished brass fittings and missing ground glass or plate holders. Inspect the bellows in strong light, check that the front standard locks firmly, and confirm the shutter (if fitted) still fires at some speed.
