What it is
The Minox CLX Special Edition is a compact camera produced by the German manufacturer Minox, known for its sub-miniature and small-format designs. It was sold as a limited or collector-oriented variant, which influences how buyers assess its value on the secondary market today.
Inspect the shutter operation across all speeds, check the lens for haze, fungus and separation, and confirm the battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion. Because this is a Special Edition, original box, papers and any commemorative presentation items materially affect the price; missing accessories can halve the value. Minox factory service for older compacts is limited, so budget for independent repair if faults are present.

Questions
Does the Special Edition status affect the value?
Yes — the Special Edition designation, particularly when paired with original packaging and documentation, tends to lift the price above a standard user-grade compact.
