Pignons Alpa 10d

The Alpa 10d is a 35mm single-lens reflex camera produced by Pignons SA of Ballaigues, Switzerland, as part of the Alpa 10-series introduced in the late 1960s. Built in small numbers to a high mechanical standard, it was positioned at the premium end of the precision-instrument market rather than as a mass-production SLR.

At recent UK auction, hammer prices for the Alpa 10d have ranged from about £460 to £940, with mid-range examples typically selling for around £590–£760. Values are condition-sensitive: cosmetically clean, fully functional bodies sit at the upper end of that band, while cameras with cosmetic wear or mechanical faults fetch less. As of 2026, the model remains a specialist collector's item, so today's price very much depends on what comes up for sale in any given year.
