Rollei Rolleiflex Old Standard

The Rolleiflex Old Standard is a medium-format twin-lens reflex camera produced by Franke & Heidecke in Germany during the 1930s. It uses 120 roll film to produce 6x6cm negatives and sits among the earlier pre-war Rolleiflex models that established the TLR layout Rollei became known for.

At recent UK auction, the Rolleiflex Old Standard has sold for roughly £25 to £90 at hammer, with a median around £63 across the records to hand; these are wholesale saleroom results before buyer's premium rather than retail asking prices. An exceptional 2020 result of £335 shows what a clean, working example can fetch, but in 2024–2026 most examples have changed hands at the lower end. As of today the camera is worth more as a working user or display piece than as a high-value collectable, and condition is the main driver of price.

Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
