Wünsche Mars Detective Camera (9x12) (Spy Camera)

{"overview":"The Wünsche Mars Detective Camera is an early German plate camera in the 9x12 cm format, made by the Dresden firm Wünsche and built in the so-called detective or concealed style that was popular around the turn of the twentieth century. These are saleroom hammer results rather than dealer retail, and as of 2026 values for early German detective cameras remain highly condition-sensitive, so a complete, cosmetically clean example will sell for noticeably more than a worn or incomplete one.","buying_guide":"Inspect the wooden body and leather covering for shrinkage, splits and lifting, and check that the plate holders, ground glass and any internal bellows or shutter mechanism are present and intact.
