At UK auction, hammer prices for the Mars Detective have sat between roughly £500 and £570, with the two recorded sales producing a median around £530. These are saleroom hammer results rather than dealer retail, and as of 2026 values for early German detective cameras remain highly condition-sensitive, so a complete, cosmetically clean example will sell for noticeably more than a worn or incomplete one.
