Yashica YF (Nicca)

{"overview":"The Yashica YF is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced in collaboration with Nicca, the Japanese maker whose Leica-screw-mount bodies Yashica absorbed in the late 1950s. As of today in 2026, clean, fully working examples with original top plates tend to sell at the upper end of that range, while cosmetically tired or non-functional bodies are worth noticeably less. Collectors treat it as a scarce Nicca derivative, so condition and completeness drive what the camera sells for.","buying_guide":"Inspect the cloth focal-plane shutter for pinholes and check that slow speeds run cleanly, as service parts are not readily available and specialist repair is required. Confirm that the rangefinder patch is visible and correctly aligned, and that the Leica-thread flange is undamaged so standard LTM lenses mount securely.
