Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta III

The Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta III is a medium-format folding rangefinder camera that takes 6x6 exposures on 120 roll film. Introduced in the mid-1950s, it sat in the Super Ikonta line as a compact, coupled-rangefinder folder aimed at the enthusiast market.

Inspect the bellows for pinholes by shining a torch inside a darkened room, check the rangefinder patch for contrast and coupling, and fire the shutter at all speeds — slow speeds in leaf shutters of this age commonly stick. Also confirm the folding struts are true and the film transport winds cleanly, as parts and qualified service for these folders are increasingly limited.
