What it is
{"overview":"The Beaulieu 4008 ZM II is a Super 8 cine camera produced by the French manufacturer Beaulieu. These are saleroom results — wholesale levels before buyer's premium — so retail and specialist-dealer asking prices in 2026 typically sit well above this band, and condition of the motor, meter and zoom drive has a strong bearing on where a specific example sells for.","buying_guide":"Key inspection points on any 4008-series body are the battery compartment (corrosion from old NiCd cells is common), the variable-shutter mechanism, the light meter response, and smooth operation of the powered zoom.

Questions
Is the Beaulieu 4008 ZM II still usable?
Super 8 film and processing remain available, so the camera can still be used, but buyers should budget for a service given the age of the electronics and motor.
