What it is
{"overview":"The Bolex D8L is a double-8mm cine camera, part of Bolex's amateur movie camera output. With only one data point, what a D8L sells for in 2026 is highly condition- and completeness-dependent, and a clean working example with its case and accessories could realistically achieve more than this lone result suggests.","buying_guide":"Inspect the spring motor for smooth wind and consistent run-down speed, check the lens glass for fungus and haze, and confirm the film gate and pressure plate are clean.

Questions
Is the Bolex D8L a Super 8 camera?
No — the D8L is a double-8mm camera, which uses a different film format from the later Super 8 cartridges.
