Fujifilm Fujica AZ 1

The Fujica AZ-1 is a 35mm SLR introduced by Fuji in the late 1970s, sold as a consumer-level body with aperture-priority automation. It used the M42 screw mount in its original form, sitting in the entry-to-mid tier of Fuji's SLR line when new.

On any AZ-1 body inspect the meter response, shutter speeds across the range, and the foam light seals, which commonly perish on Fuji SLRs of this period. Check the screw mount threads for damage and confirm the battery compartment is clean, as the camera relies on its meter for the auto-exposure system; service support is now limited to independent repairers.
