Houghton Ensign Focal Plane Rollfilm Reflex

{"overview":"The Houghton Ensign Focal Plane Rollfilm Reflex is a British rollfilm single-lens reflex camera produced by Houghton. On that basis the camera sells for low double-digit figures at saleroom level today, but the value of any individual example in 2026 will depend heavily on cosmetic condition, shutter function, and completeness of the original lens and back.","buying_guide":"Inspect the focal-plane shutter cloth for pinholes, tears, and stiffness, since rubberised blinds of this era commonly perish and replacement is specialist work. Check that the reflex mirror silvering, ground glass, and leather covering are intact, and confirm the rollfilm spool holders and back are present, as missing parts are difficult to source.
