What it is
{"overview":"The Leicina 8V is a Leitz-made 8mm movie camera fitted with a zoom lens. Today the model trades at saleroom level in the low four figures when cosmetically clean, though the thin sales record means any single result can shift the perceived value sharply.","buying_guide":"When assessing one, check the zoom lens for haze, fungus and smooth focus and zoom action, and confirm the spring motor runs at a steady speed across its full wind.

Questions
What should I check before buying a Leicina 8V?
Inspect the zoom lens for haze and fungus, test the spring-wind motor for steady running, and confirm the camera has not been stored with leaking batteries, as service support is limited.
