Linhof Master Technika

{"overview":"The Linhof Master Technika is a German-made 4x5 large-format folding field camera, part of Linhof's Technika series produced in Munich. As of 2026, what a Master Technika sells for at auction depends heavily on which generation of body is offered, whether a lens and film holders are included, and the condition of the bellows and rangefinder cams; clean, complete outfits tend to price towards the upper end of that range.","buying_guide":"Inspect the leather bellows for pinholes by shining a torch inside in a dark room, and check that all standard movements (rise, shift, tilt, swing) lock firmly without play. Confirm the rangefinder is accurately cammed to any lens supplied, that the revolving back rotates and latches cleanly, and that the focusing rails run smoothly without binding.
