The Polaroid SX-70 Sonar is an instant film SLR camera, a folding single-lens reflex design that uses Polaroid's integral SX-70 film. It belongs to the SX-70 family introduced in the 1970s and adds Polaroid's Sonar autofocus system, which uses ultrasonic ranging to set focus automatically.

At UK auction in 2024 a Polaroid SX-70 Sonar sold for £112 at the hammer, which sets the only firm reference point we have for what the model is worth at saleroom level today. With just a single result on file, this figure is best read as one wholesale data point rather than a settled market price, and condition of the bellows, body covering and electronics will swing what any individual example sells for.
