Voigtlander& Sohn Prominent II

The Voigtländer Prominent II is a 35mm coupled-rangefinder camera produced in West Germany in the 1950s. It used the Voigtländer bayonet lens mount and sat at the upper end of the maker's rangefinder line, competing with contemporary Leica and Contax bodies.

At recent UK auction, hammer prices for the Prominent II have sat in the £440–£500 range, with a 2025 sale at £500 and a 2023 sale at £438 giving a median near £500. An older 2007 result of £550 suggests values have been broadly stable over nearly two decades, and in today's market a clean, working body with a coupled lens continues to sell for a similar figure.
