Fed (Type 1f)
The FED (Type 1f) is a Soviet 35mm rangefinder camera, part of the FED series produced in Kharkov from the 1930s onward. It was a screw-mount rangefinder built along the lines of the early Leica II, aimed at general-purpose photography on standard 35mm film.
At UK auction in 2026, hammer prices for the FED (Type 1f) sit at the lower end of the Soviet rangefinder market, with the only verified recent saleroom result reaching £60 in September 2025. With just one hammer record to reference, today's value should be treated as indicative rather than a settled market price, and clean, working examples could sell for more.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
