Hasselblad 2000FC/M

The Hasselblad 2000FC/M is a 6x6 medium format single-lens reflex camera with a cloth focal-plane shutter, part of the 2000-series that sat alongside the leaf-shutter 500-series in Hasselblad's line-up during the early 1980s. The focal-plane design allowed use of fast F-series lenses without built-in shutters, while retaining compatibility with the C and CF leaf-shutter lenses used on the rest of the V-System. The /M suffix denotes the revised model in which the user can replace the shutter curtains themselves.

At recent UK auction, hammer prices for 2000FC/M bodies have spanned roughly £220 to £3,300, with a median around £1,500 across the full sales record and more recent results clustering closer to £700–£1,100. In today's market the figure a 2000FC/M sells for depends heavily on whether it is offered as a bare body or with a prism finder, film back and lens, which explains the wide spread. Outlying high results such as the £3,125 hammer in 2022 reflect well-equipped outfits rather than what a typical body is worth on its own.
