Auction: Leitz Auction 10 (Lot AI_10_14935) Title: Kodak Disc 4000 Test Model
Description:
McKeown writes of this test housing "The introduction of the Kodak Disc System was one of the most carefully-planned surprises in the history of cameras. Before the surprise release date, there was a need to test finished cameras and make sample photos without revealing the size or shape of the camera. An ingenious housing was designed to hold a standard version of the Disc 4000 camera. The housing was oversized, with one enlarged end that could have indicated a 35mm motor-drive camera. The much smaller Disc camera could be easily operated in public. Very rare. The only known example sold privately in the 1990's..." Ex Spira Collection. Estimate: EUR 600 - EUR 700 |
