With felt lens plug. Designed by George Eastman, Rochester, N.Y. (U.S. Patent 388,850, September 4, 1888). Manufactured by Frank Brownell, Rochester, for The Eastman Dry Plate & Film Co. Production started for the original Kodak camera in June of 1888. The camera was put on the market in August with the slogan “You press the button, we do the rest.'
