The Leica Super-Angulon 21mm f/3.4 is an eight-element symmetrical wide-angle lens built for Leitz by Schneider, listed by Laney under the Screw-mount, M-mount & Visoflex Lenses chapter with a production span of 1963 to 1980 and catalogue number 11103. It replaced the earlier Super-Angulon 21mm f/4, gaining half a stop, and its deeply recessed rear group means it needs the separate 21mm accessory finder 12002 for composing. A matching reflex version, catalogue number 11803 with lens hood, was made from 1964 to 1968 as one of the six lenses launched with the original Leicaflex; because the rear of the mount reached so far into the body, the mirror had to be locked up before fitting it and focusing was done on the distance scale alone.
