Sinar P2
The Sinar P2 is a Swiss-made 4x5 monorail view camera produced for studio and large-format work. It was positioned at the professional end of the Sinar line, with precision geometric movements and a modular rail system aimed at commercial, architectural and product photographers.
At recent UK auction, hammer prices for Sinar P2 bodies have ranged from around £300 to £1,100, with the two recorded sales sitting at either end of that span. Condition and completeness drive the spread: a stripped body sells for a fraction of what a clean, fully-functional outfit is worth today, and in 2026 buyers continue to pay a premium for examples with intact bellows, matching standards and original rails.
