What it is
The Contax T3 is a 35mm compact film camera with a fixed Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens, introduced in the early 2000s as the final model in Contax's premium T-series of pocketable rangefinder-style compacts.
Inspect the lens for haze, scratches and separation around the Sonnar element, check that the autofocus locks decisively in low light, and confirm the LCD on the top plate displays cleanly without missing segments. Battery-door wear and dented filter rings are common on used bodies, and Contax service support ended after Kyocera exited the camera business, so factor in that repair options are limited to independent specialists.

Questions
Why is the Contax T3 price so high for a compact?
The T3 carries a fixed Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens and was the top of Contax's premium compact line, and with no replacement model after Kyocera left the camera market, scarcity supports its value.
