What it is
{"overview":"The Newman & Sinclair Auto Kine (Model E) is a British-made 35mm professional cine camera, part of the Auto Kine series produced by Newman & Sinclair in London. With only a single recorded hammer price, today's market value is best treated as indicative rather than settled, and condition, completeness of magazines and working clockwork motor will heavily influence what a Model E sells for in 2026.","buying_guide":"Inspect the clockwork spring motor for smooth wind and consistent running speed, and check the film gate, magazines and any included lenses for corrosion or damage given the camera's age.

Questions
What should I check before buying one?
Check that the spring motor winds and runs evenly, that the magazines are intact and light-tight, and that the body and any lenses are free of significant corrosion, as servicing this camera requires specialist expertise.
