Nikon FE2
The Nikon FE2 is a 35mm single-lens reflex camera introduced in 1983 as the successor to the FE. It is an aperture-priority and manual SLR with a vertical-travel metal-bladed focal-plane shutter, and sits in Nikon's compact semi-pro enthusiast line alongside the all-mechanical FM2.
At recent UK auction, hammer prices for the FE2 have typically fallen in a £100–£350 range, with a median around £160. Clean, fully working bodies today usually sell for around £130–£200 at saleroom level, while tatty or untested examples drop to the £100 mark; the January 2025 result of £353 shows what an exceptional or boxed example can be worth when condition and presentation line up.
