What it is
{"overview":"The Ica Favorit (265) Tropical is a large-format folding plate camera produced in a tropical specification, with brass fittings and hardwood body construction intended for use in humid climates. With a single data point more than a decade old, today's value is difficult to pin down, and what a clean example sells for now would depend heavily on bellows condition, completeness of the lens and shutter, and the state of the teak and brass.","buying_guide":"Inspect the bellows for pinholes and corner splits, as replacements for tropical-format cameras are not stocked and must be custom-made.

Questions
Why is the Tropical version more collectable?
Tropical-bodied plate cameras were produced in smaller numbers than standard leather-covered versions, and the exposed teak and brass construction is generally preferred by collectors when the wood and fittings are clean.
