Canon FD 85-300mm f/4.5
The Canon FD 85-300mm f/4.5 is a manual-focus telephoto zoom for Canon's FD mount, the breech-lock system used on Canon SLRs from 1971 to 1987. It covers a short-tele to long-tele range at a constant f/4.5 aperture and was aimed at photographers wanting a single lens for sports, wildlife and distant subjects.
At UK auction in recent years, hammer results for this lens have been modest, with two recorded sales of £45 and £112 giving a median around £79. These are wholesale saleroom figures rather than dealer retail, so today in 2026 the lens is worth roughly what those hammer prices suggest for a clean, working example, and condition largely dictates where within that band a copy sells for.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
