Fed Zorki
The FED-Zorki is a Soviet 35mm rangefinder camera derived from the pre-war FED copy of the Leica II, produced in a small transitional run when FED tooling was moved during and after the Second World War and output was shared with the Zorki plant at KMZ. It uses the Leica screw (M39) lens mount and was aimed at general photographic use rather than as a premium instrument.
The FED-Zorki is a scarce collector item and sits well above ordinary post-war Soviet rangefinders in value; the two recorded UK auction hammer results from 2020 stand at £550 and £800, giving a range of £550–£800 and a median around £680. Because the sample is very small, what a FED-Zorki is worth today depends heavily on engraving clarity, originality of the lens and body, and matching serial numbers, and clean examples sell for noticeably more than worn ones at saleroom level.
