Minolta XD-7

The Minolta XD-7 is a 35mm SLR film camera introduced in 1977, sold as the XD-11 in North America and simply the XD in Japan. It was Minolta's top-tier manual-focus body of its era, positioned as a compact multi-mode SLR offering aperture-priority, shutter-priority, and fully manual exposure with the Minolta SR bayonet (MC/MD) lens mount.

At recent UK auction, hammer prices for the XD-7 have ranged from £12 to £75, with a median around £47 across the four results on file. Today the camera sells for modest money at saleroom level because these are wholesale results excluding commission, and body-only or non-working examples pull the low end down; a clean, fully functional body with a working meter and electronics is what drives value toward the upper end of that range in 2026.
