Minolta 7000 AF
The Minolta 7000 AF is a 35mm autofocus SLR introduced in 1985, sold in some markets as the Maxxum 7000 or Alpha 7000. It was the first SLR to combine in-body autofocus with motorised film transport, and launched the A-mount lens system that Minolta would carry forward for the rest of its film and early digital era.
UK auction data for the 7000 AF is thin: a single hammer result of £12 in late 2023 is the only reference point on file, so today's market signal is weak rather than indicative of a stable price band. At saleroom level (wholesale hammer, not retail), bodies like this typically trade in the low double figures unless paired with a working AF lens, and condition of the rear LCD and grip rubbers tends to drive what a clean example is worth.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
