Leitz 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-R
The Leitz 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-R is a fast wide-angle prime in Leica R bayonet mount, designed for the Leica reflex SLR system (R3 through R9). As an f/1.4 wide-angle for SLR use, it was aimed at reportage, low-light and available-light photography where the slower Elmarit-R alternatives were not enough.
With only one verified UK auction record in our dataset, pricing is thin: a clean example sold for £3,000 hammer in November 2022 at saleroom level (excluding buyer's and seller's premiums). As of today in 2026 that single data point sets a reference for what a tidy copy is worth, but a genuine market range cannot be drawn from one sale, and earlier two-cam versus later three-cam or ROM variants can shift what the lens sells for.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
