Mamiya M645 Super

The Mamiya M645 Super is a medium format SLR introduced in 1985, exposing 6x4.5cm frames on 120 and 220 roll film. It replaced the earlier M645 1000S and adopted a modular layout with interchangeable film backs, viewfinders and focusing screens, positioning it as a more system-oriented body for studio and location work.

At UK auction, hammer prices for the M645 Super have ranged from around £220 to just over £1,000, with a median close to £280 across the last seven recorded sales. In 2024 and 2025 saleroom results have been polarised: stripped or body-only lots have sold for £270–£525, while a complete outfit with prism, back and 80mm Sekor C reached £1,025 in October 2025. As of 2026 the camera's value at auction is closely tied to whether the lot includes a working AE prism, a 120 insert and a clean standard lens.
