Asahi Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 6x7 55mm F3.5
The Asahi Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 6x7 55mm F3.5 is a wide-angle prime designed for the Pentax 6x7 medium format SLR system. Fitted with the Pentax 6x7 breech-lock bayonet and dating from the SMC Takumar era of the early 1970s, it was intended as a general-purpose wide lens for landscape, environmental portraiture and architectural work on 6x7 film.
Hammer prices at UK auction for this 55mm Takumar are thinly documented, with our records showing a single sale at £110 in April 2023, which sits as the only reference point for what the lens is worth at saleroom level. As of 2026 that figure suggests clean, fungus-free copies sell for roughly the £100 mark in the auction market, though one data point is not enough to define a firm range, and condition, glass clarity and the presence of caps and hoods will move the price either side of that value.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
