Asahi Pentax Pentax SFX
The Pentax SFX is a 35mm autofocus single-lens reflex camera introduced by Asahi Pentax in the late 1980s. It was positioned as an enthusiast SLR built around the Pentax KAF bayonet mount and was among the earliest SLRs to integrate a built-in TTL flash into the prism housing.
Sales data for the Pentax SFX is extremely thin, so a reliable price band is hard to draw today; the single UK auction-hammer result on file sold for £1,200 in June 2025, which is well above the level a typical user-grade body would be expected to fetch at saleroom level. Until more results accumulate, treat that figure as an outlier rather than a guide to what the camera is worth, and judge the value of any individual example on cosmetic condition, working electronics, and whether a lens is included.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
